This integrated English Literature and Language course focuses on literary and linguistic approaches to texts and writing.
It offers you the best of ‘both worlds’ as classic literature is studied, such as highly acclaimed novels and poetry, alongside non-literary ‘real world’ texts.
This course develops a wide-ranging set of analytical and writing skills you can use at university or at work.
Furthermore, originality is encouraged through creation of your own texts, as well as producing an independently sourced and researched coursework task.

Careers and Higher Education
Skills taught in A Levels in English Language and Literature are transferable to many careers and degree course studied at undergraduate level such as: English Language/Literature degrees, Law, Media, Journalism, and Creative Writing amongst others. You can use your skills of communication in both the spoken and written form to pursue a career in education, publishing, journalism, marketing and sales, advertising, management, and counselling.
